Turkish designers are fast gaining a reputation on the international stage. For the fashion conscious, the city offers a plethora of sartorial options and a chance to show off Istanbul street style.
Head to the hills of Şişli to find specialist leather & fur stores among luxury boutiques. Chain retailers line the pedestrian-only Istiklal Cd in Taxim, while in Beyoğlu, you’ll find mid-range boutique stores selling apparel and Turkish-designed accessories. For the vintage hunters, make your way to the streets of Karaköy.
